Click on the View Ribbon and turn off the Gridlines by unchecking the gridlines box. You can apply your own formats to the data as needed and press Save to keep your changes.
It may help to preformat your data into a data table or fill in the cells and add borders to make your data easier to read.
Add a shortcut into the QAT toolbar to make this process easier to access. Go to the View Ribbon and right click on the Gridlines option and select add to Quick Access Toolbar.
