Microsoft (MS) Project is the popular, easy-to-use and flexible software choice for project managers in a huge variety of industries and situations.
We run two sets of courses, both at Introduction and Advanced levels:
Our MS Project 2019 courses cover the latest release of the software. They are also extremely detailed, with both courses in total giving you over 15 hours of interactive study.
Our MS Project 2013 courses are a great alternative for a lower-cost option (few of the basics have changed), and also for people who are using older versions of the software.
Throughout, our tutorials teach you the "right" way, to follow best practice and avoid common pitfalls. You will be confident of delivering your projects on time and on budget, and in a way that is smooth and controlled.
The CPD mark of approval means that not only have our courses been rigorously assessed in terms of content and quality, but there are options for you to get a CPD Certification certificate to keep.
There are 22 lessons in over eight hours of training, which take you through a vast number of subjects in great detail.
We introduce you to the MS Project Workspace, Ribbon, Help and Project Options, and you'll learn how to navigate project calendars, timelines and critical paths.
Then you'll see how to set up task dependencies, and lag & lead times, before we show you how to manage project costs, leveling and resolve resource over-allocations.
You'll cover Gantt Charts, and how to simplify them, and how to set up baselines and interim plans.
There's a whole lot more, too: this is the ideal course for you to make a solid start with using Microsoft Project!
The Advanced course will put you in complete control of your projects.
You'll learn about resource sharing and setting up a resource pool, about consolidating projects and setting up recurring tasks.
You'll move on to custom fields and Outline & WBS codes.
Next comes cost management, fixed/variable costs & budgets, before moving on to custom tables, views and reports.
You'll then learn about advanced sorting, filtering & grouping, importing and exporting data, and you'll finish with a great lesson on using macros.
This course will truly equip you with the advanced skills that will transform how you manage your projects!
Microsoft Project is a powerful application which needs to be set up and run properly. So learning from "ground up" in a structured way is essential.
You start by learning how to use the Project interface and create a simple project plan with tasks, dependencies, constraints and deadlines.
You then move on to adding resources, calendars and costs, and assigning them to tasks. You then learn to format the plan, use a Gantt Chart, and print out the plan to professional standards.
You will now have a solid foundation for understanding Project and using the software to create solid and resilient project plans.
The Advanced course takes you to a level that will put you in complete control of your projects.
You'll learn about importing and exporting data, about advanced scheduling and calendar options, and advanced resource allocation.
We'll show you how to work with multiple projects, customizing fields, tables, views and filters, and creating custom project reports.
Microsoft Project is an incredibly powerful application, and with the benefit of our two courses, you will have more awareness, control ... and general expertise ... than you thought possible.
Project Management skills are all about setting up realistic plans, then monitoring them and reacting to change.
To do this properly with projects of any size, you need a specialist software application that's easy to understand and use. And Microsoft Project gives you exactly that.
Whether you use our Project 2013 or Project 2019 courses, you'll learn how to use MS Project to create your project plan and track its progress, right through to using advanced tools, customization and even working with multiple projects. You will be amazed at what you can do with the software!
You have total flexibility ... you can work through all the course content so you have a thorough knowledge from start to finish. Or treat the content as your "library" - to refer to and learn as you need.
Either way, you'l find all our courses easy to watch and available 24/7 to upgrade your Microsoft Project skills.
